Encounter: The Killing is a 2002 IndianBollywood film produced and directed by Ajay Phansekar.[1] It stars Naseeruddin Shah, Dilip Prabhavalkar and Tara Deshpande in pivotal roles.[2]
Plot
[edit]In the Mumbai Police's Crime Branch, Senior Inspector Sam Bharucha (Naseeruddin Shah) is a trustworthy police officer who diligently performs his job. He favors mending individuals above denouncing and punishing them. The movie opens with the tale of four teenage college-bound males who turned to sharpshooting as a quick source of income. They escape to Shrivardhan after killing hotel owner Ramanna. When Martin's parents discover a large sum of money and a pistol in his backpack, they suspect their colleague of engaging in antisocial behavior. Martin confesses when they approach him, and they turn him over to the police right away. The three others have fled to Shrivardhan, where Inspector Bharucha chooses to capture them. When Inspector Bharucha gets to Shrivardhan, he gives his staff the order to arrest everyone. Amrita Puri (born 20 August 1983) is an Indian actress who mainly works in Hindi films and web shows. She made her acting debut with the romantic comedy-drama Aisha (2010), which earned her the Stardust Award for Breakthrough Performance – Female and also received Filmfare Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She had her first commercial success with the 2013 buddy sports drama Kai Po Che!.
Puri received ITA Award for Best Actress Drama nomination, for her portrayal in the television show P.O.W. - Bandi Yuddh Ke (2016-2017). She has since appeared in the web series, Four More Shots Please! (2019), Jeet Ki Zid (2021), Ranjish Hi Sahi (2022) and the film Neeyat (2023).
